Hey you guuuuuys I'm going caving on Sunday!
It is almost like I am interesting.

I get to wear a wetsuit!
I hope that a ravenous pack of beasties does not munch me and all my besties, a la The Descent. But there was no poofy-haired physicist boy leading the trip in that movie, so I think the beasties will probably leave us alone.

Where are you going caving? How scary is it? Is it real scary? Are there big drops or bats or roaches or fast-moving underground rivers or LOTR-type-lake-guardians or places where you have to squeeeeeze through or squelchy mud you have to crawl through or areas of pitch pitch pitch blackness or zombies a la Descent? Why do you need a wetsuit? Does part of it go underwater? ARE YOU GONNA DROWN??!?!?!?!!

I vote that you watch The Descent at 1 AM the night before you're due to set out. I demand a full log of this expedition! All creepy-crawlies, freak-outs, shuddery moments and sighs of relief and zombies included.

YES I am going to drown.

I'm not sure all what is there yet! I did learn how to switch from rappelling to climbing if I need to, and vice-versa, in case of fast moving underground rivers, and I have a helmet and a wetsuit and bits are in water but some not, and one of the caves has bats and we have to do all these precautions to make sure we don't spread whitenose syndrome to 'em and there will definitely be mud and it will definitely be dark but there are formations and waterfalls and generally I am so excited that this was all one big long sentence. Ohmygod.

You must face the long dark of Moria. Be on your guard. There are older and fouler things than orcs in the deep places of the world.

MAYBE THERE'S SCORPIONS DID YOU THINK OF SCORPIONS? You should get some mace.
